Who is Ana?
Hi, I’m a writer, artist, and long-time practitioner of the magical and esoteric arts. I live in Los Angeles California. My work sits at the crossroads of devotion, mystery, and rebellion. I’ve walked through the fire of spiritual crisis and somehow emerged on the other side laughing (or losing my mind) only to probably do it all over again.
I was raised Catholic, I am ancestrally part Jew, but I've taken spirituality into my own hands because I don't like men telling me what to do. These days, I’m a student of Hermeticism, personal punching bag of Hermes, the god of thresholds, trickery, and the mind, and my practice weaves together classical structure and my own chaotic twists. I believe in beauty as a form of temperance, spirituality as a return to the self, and humor as the air we breathe. My Patron taught me how to be a little shit so expect some of that.
This blog is a living memoir of the journey itself, a space to share what I’m learning, questioning, reclaiming, and unbecoming. I don’t promise certainty, but I do promise heart, honesty, and the occasional goofballery.
